hi everyone, i posted this in another forum but noticed it was the wrong one, so would anyone be interested in a pacific armour campaign during the 2nd world war? it can be from any nation that participated in the PTO it could be anything that has armour and tracks. any scales are appropriate. i was thinking it could start in september 1st and end in april 12 2010. so is anyone up for it?

Calvin, I would be interested as well. I decided to join the Blitzkrieg 2:Africa campaign to help keep me motivated on my next build. I would like to participate in this campaign after that one since I've never worked on anything from the Pacific.

Calvin,
I think 9 is good enough to start. You might want to wait a few more days to see if anyone else would like to join up.
Is Chas one of the 9? If so, we'd best bring the "A" game.

Calvin,
Wouldn't hurt. I can check with TacFireGuru, Mike High, and have him PM you if you'd like?
BTW, Do you have a list of those who are in on this? Thx.

I don’t know why a specific area or item couldn’t be done like your original idea. I don’t remember seeing an ETO campaign; I have seen specifics like Market Garden, Ardennes, and North Africa. How about changing it to a campaign like the Marshall Islands, or the Gilberts or the Philippines or battles like OBOE 6 or operation Stalemate II? If you want more people involved you can also open it up to Aero and Shipwrights.
Just an idea, I am working mainly in this area right now so you can count me in.
Bob
On second thought I think I'll pass.
I retract my second thought, sometyimes I think too much!

I think a campaign should always encourage people to build and research models and battles that they usually would not consider looking at. Therefore, offering a wider variety of operations and models to chose from is in my opinion something that makes a campaign all the more interesting. I mean, how often do we see someone build a Japanese tank/figure compared to a sherman? Just my opinion.

Go to the 'Campaigns' page of the Armorama site and click on 'Submit a new campaign'. Then you just fill out the sheet with all of the info that is required. Don't forget to mention all of the names of the people who are already interested in the campaign! Good luck!

hello Calvin,
i usually give MarkM a E-Mail heads up about the campaign, when it starts and ends and a approximate number of people who what to sign up.
always give yourself some lead time before you start the campaign, usually 1-3 months.this gives the staff time to look it over and see if there is enough time and interest in the campaign.
always do you submission on a word program on your system, then transfer it to the submission page.this way you have a backup copy if something goes wrong.
hope this helps,
cheers,
Bruce

Hi Calvin,
I will support your campaign. It will give me an excuse to finally tackle Beelzebub. Or perhaps something more exotic like an LCM 3 at Tarawa.

Calvin,

I finally received my extras I needed for a composite hull in Peleliu.
I already started my Comet so thats out.
Sorry for the confusion on the campaigns, never have enough PTO,
Bob
