Very cool. I have a few books on the Falklands and there's great model Ideas there. that was a very intense fight many modelers forget.

Very nice model. I've looked at the website, soldadosdigital.com, and I'm sorry to say I don't speak Spanish so I sure wish there was an English translation for it.

i will probably get pelters for this ... but speaking as a Scot ... i still do not know why we (UK armed forces) fought over the Falklands/The Malvinas which was thousands of miles from our shores and right next to Argentina .. was it worth the lives of the young lads that died on both sides at a great cost to their families & friends and the monetary cost to both economies

Thanks for the tip about Babelfish but the political discussion about the war could be a very touchy subject and off topic for this post I think. Let's stick to the modelling subject at hand shall we?

1)The people who have struggled to survive in that barren landscape for over 9 generations deserve respect & the right determine their sovereignty. 2) It is morally & militarily repugnant to allow a military dictatorship to commit an armed aggression without responding because in the long term it sets an unacceptable precedence. 3) It doesn´t matter where the Islands are geographically. 4) Money isn´t everything. 5) Any response in kind ,to direct military aggression is morally justifiable. ( P.S. TKS. Mr Weinburger.& P.P.S. crawl back under a stone Ms.Kirkpatrick) i will probably get pelters for this ... but speaking as a Scot ... i still do not know why we (UK armed forces) fought over the Falklands/The Malvinas which was thousands of miles from our shores and right next to Argentina .. was it worth the lives of the young lads that died on both sides at a great cost to their families & friends and the monetary cost to both economies

Hello Mike and Bradford;
I'm not a moderator here, but for the sake of everyone's sanity and for the well being of the hobby, can we please stick to the subject of building models. I've seen these things erupt into senseless flame-ups so quickly that it fast negates the purpose for the original post which is "Hey everyone, please take a look at these nice models...."
Go to the Spare Parts forum or the History Club forum for non-modelling and historical debates and discussions if you must but please stick to the topic at hand here.
Thanks, and again....nice model, it looks really good. Canada uses the G-Wagon too but a larger 4-door variant so it's nice to see something at least close to our types. I really like the camo and the paint chipping. It looks realistic and restrained. Good job! One question though, what base kit did you use for this model?
cheers
Bob

It is very important to me your opinion, thank you, and my intention is only to show a kit.

Hi, Really like the model, a good life like finish and I should know I also agree that the Falklands war of 1982 is a forgotten subject for modellers.
Bob, thanks for saying what you did, this is a modellers site and not for politics. I'm new here so forgive if I've spoken out of turn.
Cheers Mike

Hey Mike
and what do you think the British empire was .... it was built on slavery, murder and profit ... and at the head of it was the British military with the task of subjugating the colonies from uprising against their masters
they do if they were part of Argentina .... the British Empire stole them from Argentina in the 1860s .... but i suppose that makes it ok

This is the wrong place; do you want to email me ? I could give you quite a few lessons in history but I doubt that they would get through to you. You are wrong about a few other things as well.

My friends of armorama, my intention is show argentine modelers, not introduce political questions.
The history of falkland - malvinas conflict is very interesting but this website is not the place to talk about this problem.
