hello, i am re starting my post my panzer 1 diorama as i was not happy with my presentation of the old one, i find that a build log helps me to focus on my build and to help with the learning curve in the hobby.

the base kits im am using at the moment are Miniart Farmhouse w/diorama base, and the tristar panzer 1 early/late that can be found in my Build log Here being my best armor build so far i decided to do it justice with my first real diorama, with dioramas, the groundwork and realistic buldings or other entities has always phased me, so using a miniart vac form kit with building already on is something i should ahve done a while ago, although the base is not origanal to me, im hoping that the right composition can change that.
my idea is a officer in a staff car has pulled up outside this temporary workshop to tell the panzer crew to move out as soon as posible.

here are the main componenets of the diorama.

and some size comparisons

i have been playing also with composition, and although i have decided to move he panzer one to the rear of the building, i think hye look pretty cool
(the figure is not one i am using, )

hey i hve put some basic colours down, i think the dirt area needs some more texture, and the join on the small wall is too smooth so im not sure what to do there yet.
i may make a small feature on making the daffs.

oh i also put some crud in the gutter

Hi James,
It sure looks good so far. I didn't know that MiniArt diorama kits fit together that well.

Looking forward to see more.

A.

hello. i went out and bought a few dio bits today, i used railway scatter to good effect a while ago, so bought some scatter and ballast, i also bought some pva and cheap acrylics to work with,

and i broke apart a Caramel tebag to addsomemore texture to the gutter

here i added the scatter and soem tebag to the ground noear my static grass test,
all of the scatters and teabags failed miserably, so i removed them, (except for the gutter (see the birds nest from milliput:D))

i may make soem more flowers later and have sarted doing more paper leaves to ym climbing plant

Hello, love the exhaust pipe on the tank, the weathering is also getting there, have you tried Tamiya weathering master ? If you don't mind me saying, a little more mud between the clumps of grass especially where the motorbike has been pushed along, all in all, rather you weather those bricks then me, that'll take a month of Sunday's, and yep, the black and white pix look great.

thanks Guys!
Hey Alec, i havent even started to imagine weathering yet, and the bike was bye the door to appreciate the scale of those annoying leaves im cutting out of paper. but when it comes to it the bike will be more blended with the ground, but, even thought this is supposed to be the polish campaign my picture references show its still quite a dry period, so i dont think i will be doing wet mud at all, i may try another lot of pigments on the tank, the pnazer 1 B in the armor forum has made me a little dissapointed with my finish

thanks for you both looking in!

hello, i ahve nearly done the grass(not the earth )
hee is how it starts out..

then i dry brush it and paint it even more

i was thinking of having an officer from the car try to tell the tankers to move the tank
but i dont want the car facing towards the arch from the front of the dio ( house end)
and it wouldnt make sence if it was facing away form the arch, here is my dilemma hahah
Have fun
