I for one, am glad to hear it. However, when a company appears to fall into a black hole, you have to assume the worst. Thanks for the updates.

I am from Hong Kong. I think I can give you all the latest information on Tristar. Tristar is still alive!

Tristar had a retail shop in Hong Kong but it had been closed down six months ago and moved to a small office building nearby. As I observed, it was due to poor retail business and high rent.

I tried to visit the new shop but found that the door was locked and seemed that the new shop was not supposed to open to public. What a shame that the new address still had not been updated since the move.

At this stage, we can assume that there is something happening in Tristar.

Let correct some of your comments. Tristar's retail shop DID not shut down. They merely moved 30 metres down the same street to a smaller shop. The shop did close for a few days to facilitate the move. Other than that the shop is open 7 days a week.

Tristar do not need to pay rent at the old premise as they owned the shop. The moved to a smaller shop to save on rent. The old shop has been rented out to a shop selling RC. The rent they are paying for the new shop is one-fifth of what they receive from renting out the old shop. That makes good business sense as they don't need such large floor space. The old shop had a floorspace that was marginally smaller than DML's shop (over two floors) on Waterloo Street. This move alone means they are now getting a new positive income stream.

What time did you visit the new shop? The new shop now opens after 2pm until late (8-9pm). But if you need to visit earlier, I suggest giving them a call the day before and they may arrange for an earlier opening on that day. The new address is 1/F Prosper Commercial Building, 9 Yin Chong Street, Mongkok, Kowloon. Telephone number is unchanged +852 2388 0387.

Lawrence,

I wonder why your web still hasn't been updated with the new address - already six months!

Lawrence,

I think I will not visit your new shop. I really don't want to see the ugly faces of your so-called shopkeepers.

Again let me clarify. I am not associated to Tristar other than as customer. If you have any issues with Tristar I suggest you take it up directly with them.

It is common knowledge who the owner of Tristar and I am sure you know this as well.

My responses to you was to correct factual inaccuracies in both your posts. I suggest that you stick to the facts instead of making assumptions.
