A2 were not used during the attack, as the 3rd ID didn't have any with them. There was some limited action near the end with some A2's destroying some abandoned t-72s but mostly they were in theatre after the action stopped.

Rob is right.Practically all of the A2's were from either the 4th ID or one of the Marine divisions that came in after the war was over.

There are no Marine Corps M1A2s. Only units that have them are the 4th Infantry Division and the 1st Cavalry Division. The 1st Cav isn't even fully fielded yet. The US Army Armor Center and School at Fort Knox, Kentucky has some for training soldiers entering the armor branch.Rob is right.Practically all of the A2's were from either the 4th ID or one of the Marine divisions that came in after the war was over.
All the M1A2s seen in Iraq are from the 4th ID.

I've seen Ebay auctions listing the old Tamiya HMMWV with M242 Bushmaster "as used in Iraq" or other old vehicles like the M901 ITV or Vulcan, early Bradley models and other such kits. Anything to get someone to buy the kit. Don't get me wrong, there is still fighting going on in Iraq, it's just that all of the tank fighting was done by US Army and USMC M1A1s prior to the arrival of M1A2s.
