Hi, my friends. I really hope someone of you can give me the right infos about this pic. It's for a friend of mine (he doesn't speak english): he'd like to know as much as possible about it, before trying to start with that model.
It's a JSU122, as he told me. Thanks in advance to all of you. Cheers.

That's some funky camo - maybe a Korean war pic?

NOT Korea...no ISU's were used in that conflict.
ISU-122, maybe on the Finnish front? That front tended to have more permanent funky winter cammo.

Hi Guido,
according to pg. 13 of Armada vertical about soviet cammo, the pic was taken Feb. 45 at Neideburg, East prussia. The spg belonged to 5. Tank army (Guards) of 2. belorussian front. The digit is claimed to be white '176' in the circle-like part which is left green...

Thank you, mates. I was sure I'd have found the solution for that.
Yes Volker, he had understood the tank was from 5th Army. Not sure for the number. Now we have it too. Thanks once again.
Cheers.

Very nice painting and weathering. That's a cool pic you choose to build.

Hi Mike,
a nice ISU, you've got there ;-)
NO, I'm definitly not sure about the number. The photo's caption states that it is white '176'. A side drawing in the same book shows a white '52' (and a yellow 58 on a ISU 152) with cammo in a similar pattern...
Greetings to Italy
