Now this is a release from Dragon that I'm really looking forward to. It seems to be ticking all the boxes, and the list of 'ingredients' mentions that the T-34 tracks are also included.. now that would be good.

I just hope the price is not going to be prohibitive..

Thanks for the heads up Jim.

$45 at DragonUSA.. I just hope that price is relative on this side of the Atlantic, though I doubt it.

The price will be around the $1,000,000 mark

Perhaps in Reichsmark.

I know that kits are a bit expensive these days but a price tag of 37,00€ or $45 is still justified, imo, at least for this kit. Just look at what you're getting for your cash. If this one is as good as 6360 then you're getting perhaps the best Ausführung H on the market, with all the bells and whistles included. I think it looks great, there's an abundance of crisp detail and the metal skirts are a great addition!
I'm also stoked that it seems as if Dragon is now going to release real images as well as CAD ones with each new release. This new release also offers a great base for a Wirbelwind that I've been wanting to build for eons.

Personally, i dont find 45 USD is that expensive for a kit. 60 and over is where i draw the line.

I am so excited for this release. And the boxart is great too. I know what i want for my birthday

I've been waiting for this one for a long time to come out...and if it's up to the same standards as the other Pz IV Smart Kits it will be a real joy to build. Oddly, I'm somewhat disappointed that they included the T-34 tracks to simulate the box-art image given how unique that particular vehicle is/was as a photo...I have a feeling that it will be a commonly built vehicle now because of it and therefore lose some of its "specialness". Still, it's great that DML's going that far in terms of including things in the box. My guess is this one will MSRP in the $55-$60 USD range but be availalbe, before shipping, in the $45 USD range out of the gate. Not bad at all considering.

Preo-Order price is $44.99.

Dragon USA Online

As always, if you want a kit it might be best to wait a while until the price drops after the hype is gone.

Like for their newish early Jagdpanther, I'm waiting for the "Zimmerited" version of this one before I take the credit card out.

Cheers,

I've been debating this one and I think I will end up getting it. Very nice details and I'm liking the looks of the IV. Plus, the only way to get a gun breech and a hull MG with the working ball mount is to go with the German armor.

Looks like another winner from Dragon. This one must go into the stash.

Has anybody seen what the marking options will be for this kit?

I don't think that that information was revealed yet. You'll have to wait a few more weeks.

What about Zim on the H? Is it needed for this model?

This is gonna need a coat of Zimm on it

Though I have to say that PZ IV's have a alot less surface area to cover than a Panther or King Tiger

Another advantage of THIS model is that this is the one you can build as a vehicle in Spanish Army service. No Schürzen (apart from the attachment points), no Zimm and a coat of OD which is a far more gentlemany color than others I can think of.

It's also the perfect vehicle to build a Syrian PzIV in the 1970s...
