Haha, nice reference picture. And Verlinden actually made a kit out of that!? Well, you made something nice with it. Great colors on the rock and groundwork!

The figures are great especially the way they're displayed, one obviously listening to the other and seemingly very tempted at a nice Jap sword, I feel you've actually captured what dioramas are all about, a story, a piece of history, darn good FX, small enough to be large on atmosphere, and you haven't gone way over the top. Very nice, very cool very yeah okay I'll shut up -------- I'd appreciate it if you could tell me what paint you mixed to get those rock colours, or are they real ?

Gday Tomek That is some great paint work mate! Your 'rockery' really looks the part, plus the way you managed to create a storyline within such a simple scene. Well done Brad

Thank you for comments. I'm happy you like my little dio. Alec - To paint rocks I used light grey for basecoat and than a lot of layers of oils. I mixed raw umber, burnt sienna, yellow ochre, van dyck bronze, black and some humbrol paints in many configurations. Chas - I build AFV M5A1 now and I'm planning to use it for next PTO dio. Steve – Nicolas Cage as USMC tanker? Great idea for his next movie.
Cool. Firstly because its something different, but i really like the fact you used a camo jacket on one guy and helmet on the other guy. Nice contrats, and really adds to the composition of the scene.

What color did you use to get that great pattern on the helmet....very realistic. DJ
I remember precisely only a base color, it was Humbrol 74+81. Spots are dark brown, beige, dark green, and very light green ( I mixed a lot of paints ). Than I made turpentine + oil filter/wash with raw umber.
