Hi all,
Im about to start Trumpeters' ASLAV-25, I think im going to depict 'Beowulf' - C/S Two Two Alpha from B Sqn, 2 Cav.
My question is - are there any more shots of Beowulf - any shots of additional markings, is ARN etc.
Also, can anyone explain what was the reason for a 5.56mm ammo liner being welded to the mantlet?

Thanks,
Sam Dwyer

I know that vehicle...
The ARN is 16377. I cant find a photo in which its not covered in dust, but trust me thats it. You can only just make it out in the photo of the vehicle driving away. Note the ANF on the left hand rear door. Also note the stuffed bear tied on the drivers wire cutter...
The 7.62mm liner is not actually on the mantlet, it is bolted to the side of the wire cutter mount. Its used to hold a video camera. You can see the hole cut in the front of it for the lens. Its used for after action reviews and debriefs, but not all vehicles have one (22A does), and other vehicles have it mounted in different positions.

G'day Sam,
Don't know the answer personally, but I've shot an email off to a mate who may be able to help with further info.
Any chance you'll be showing this at Expo next month?
