Not sure if people had seen this or pictures of something similar. Was new to me, so I figured I'd post it here.
Visible components are a bar armor kit with anti-IED antenna on the flanks, lots of floodlights on the front and sides and an RWS of some sort. I'm not well enough versed in RWS to identify whether this is the M101 or M151 model or another type.

I had seen bar armor kits in service (and in the modeling community), but this one seemed different in configuration before from those. I could easily have been wrong.

Hey Joe,
No, you are correct. The armor applied to the Buffalo (and some of the other current wheeled vehicles as well) is not slat but aluminum square rod that serves the same purpose but weighs less. I have found pics of both the CROW RWS and something that looks very similar to the M151. The huge boxes provide additional protection in some form (note that the entirely cover the crew seating portions of the sides). If you are interested in find additional pictures like the one you posted hit up the photo community sites (webshots, smugmug, picasa, photobucket, flicker, etc.) and search for "buffalo iraq" (or ied or eod or even route clearance). searching for MRAP will score lots of cool shots as well.

Yeah, I noticed the side armor boxes from some shots Miroslav was nice enough to Email me of the vehicle without any slat/bar armor of any type. This is not a subject I'm really deeply interested in though. I just saw the picture, it was new to me, and figured some people here might be interested in it.
Until there's some decision to apply a formal alpha-numeric nomenclature to these vehicles, and I can add them to my list, I probably won't spend too much time delving into the various myriad configurations.
