James, That's a big gun for such a small mount. PE looking good!

Thanks Marc and Dan
Wanting to get the radio mounted, along with a few other items, I painted the one casemate wall. Normally I'd paint the whole fighting compartment at once, but diverted from the norm once again. Found a couple of rifles in a Tristar Marder figure kit, mounted and finished wiring the radio along with the single charge box. Still need the rain shield mounted and some more work with both the regular and air brushes, but got enough done on that side to concentrate on the other wall. Note that both the DML and Griffon instructions indicate that another charge box gets mounted on this wall, which I believe to be incorrect. Reference photos don't show it and adding that one would total 16 charges....for 15 shells.
A bit of work on the rear firewall and the gun platform, and checking how the gun itself will fit...
And finally, some work done on the right side casemate. 3 shell holders will have shells, the rest will be empty and getting a restock from the Munitionswagen. (yup, the top 2 boxes should be offset from the bottom 3 ;-) )

Excellent PE work..... I have this kit and would like to use the same PE set on mine.
I was looking at how you wired the radios and I noticed on the lower left part where you have a single wire installed....I think they used a "banana" connector here so both holes should be used (looking horizontally or vertically) if you know what I mean. There's actually a 2 hole plate on the front of the radios for this connector if I remember correctly. I also noticed you decided to close the 2 heating vents...a summer setting?
A banana plug has 2 prongs with a single wire, or maybe this is just moot now so long after?
Sorry if I upset the apple cart at this point... Nice looking gun...
Regards, Paul

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the info, I only have a schematic type drawing to use for the radio but I see how you're right about that. I should be able to correct that, or at least have it a bit more accurate
I highly recommend this Griffon set, very nice to work with. I can't believe I started this so long ago, and even though I got a bit further along, it seems to have been sitting in the cupboard for way too long!
Yeah, I was planning on a warm weather setting, and hoping to get it in a small dio. At this rate we're looking at what....about 4 more years to completion

Hey Jim,
No sweat regarding the time finishing....I got more shelf queens than finished myself. Really enjoying the detail and effort you're putting in...
How are the gun charge boxes held on the walls? Are there any brackets or do they just glue to the walls?
Looking good BTW, Paul

JB I agree that the Griffon stuff is an excellent product. I'm loving this build so find some more time and get on with it.
