G'day all,
Just wondering if anyone knows of any manufacturer who produces 1/35 scale civi pattern vehicles? Something along the lines of a pickup or SUV ie: Toyota Land Cruiser half ton. Something not in resin would be preferable.
Thanks!

CMK makes a VW beetle as it`s used by the africa korps (DAK) It`s plaistic kit and if you paint it in a fancy red or blue color you have a nice civi vehicle

Actually during WWII, the VW wasn't available in a variety of colors.... dark green, dark grey, and black are the only colors I have ever seen.
Des Kits makes a WWII vintqge Citroen in 1:35 Resin, and you can EASILY convert the Italeri Zis-5 Russian cargo truck to look like a 1930's era dlivery truck (see the conversion I did in "Minor Sabotage" located in the FEATURES section)
I have also found few 1:thiry-sixth (1:36) and 1:38th scale metal cars from the era in the toy section of the GROCERY STORE.... ice trucks, limosine, and ambulance--- all of which converted nicely. I have a spare Limo if you are interesed... let me know, and I'll post a photo when I get back in town. Pretty nice exterior detail, but the inside need conversion (or curtains!).

hello,
Go to www.toms.nl
It is in Dutch, but on the top of the page there's the word "schaal" which means scale. Search for 1:36 and you will find 19 vehicles. Most of them are from movies but maybe you can convert some.
Hope this helps.

Thanks gang,
I thank you for all the imput on civi veh's... but what I am looking for is a modern 4x4 such as a Toyota Land Cruiser or the like.... I have a sinking fealing I am out of luck in 1/35 scale.... I have several "Landies" ( I am a BIG Rover fan... and currently looking to possibly buy one for a full scale resto project.... hint hint!) but they just don't fit the bill..... in fact It would down right be a shame to see one butchered!

Try this site. www.modellbau.pixels.at
They don't have 4x4s like you are looking for, but its' something.
Also- AMT-Ertl makes a couple of 1:32 "Monster" trucks. Passable detail (barely) but they need a LOT of work to be useable. No interiors, etc. There were some trucks, cars, semis, etc. in 1:32 produced a few years back by AMT, Revell, etc. I've seen them on EBay (based on a tip by Sabot).
Anyhow- I'm hoping that the various manufacturers will take a look at the recent conflicts, at potential hotspots and realize there is a market for some 1:35 civilian vehicles.
