Hi all
A quick question for the US WWII armour buffs.Did the m-18 hellcat have a camo scheme ie green/brown-green/ black. Just wondered as I have started the Academy kit and wanted to do something other just green. If not then green it is.
thanks Darren

Darren- As I have that kit also, I can say I have not seen any pics of it in cammo scheme paint. I HAVE seen more than a few in piles of gear, netting, and shrubbery/branches outfits. Don't have any specific sites to point you at but I'm sure normal search ques will find them.
Cheers!

I've seen winter spray applied to the M-18, like little squiggly lines. Heck, they were too fast to need camo!

12 Army Group recommended that winter white not be a complete coat, but allow patches of OD to show through. This was for the winter of 1944~45. I believe that most of this was done with white-wash, and also was done by hand. There are a few examples in Steven Zaloga's US Tank Battles in Germany.
