I have just finished this diorama, and would like to show my road to the final outcome.
It is only my second diorama, and I have learned alot during the process, one thing is that it would be the best to make the base first and the the vechicals and last figurs. but quit satisfied with the outcome though.
Armor is Pz 38 aufkl. attc. to Felhernhalle AA, Marder to 1. Pz. div.
cheers
Jes

Jes,
Hi Great looking diorama, I really like the mix of uniforms and styles you have done a great job painting the reveresable camo uniforms on the Marder crew, they look great. Really like the path also what did you use to create the effect?
Thanks for posting your pictures.

Its a nice a busy scene with lots to look at, the colours is a bit stron, but thats propably the light.
Its a solid work, especially since its your second diorama, keep it up!
2 things to consider for your next work - try not to have anything parallel with the edges of the base and try to give your landscape a little more variation in hight, that will make your scene more dynamic and visually attractive.
Flot!
Cheers/Jan

Hello James
Most of things used for the ground work are natural things found on the heath or in the woods.
the trees are made from branches of heather, and the yellow that you refer to is moss.
I always look for potentional thing to use when i am for a walk in the woods

Jes,
that is pretty damn good for only your second dio!!
I will second what jan (mr.mox) said about things being parallel and variations in height are good, but you kind of took care of that with the trees.
So, the tall brown "weeds" in the lower right corner of your last picture are just stuff you found in the woods? any chance you could send some of that to the States???
Bill.
