I'm not really an Axis modeller, but this does look like a good kit with lots of details.
One thing I have to say though is it is great to see Dragon (and Trumpeter and other manufactures -- lets not be biased!) releasing so many new kits at the moment. It hardly seems a week goes by without one or two new announcements about a new release. I only wish I had the cash to buy a fraction of what is coming out...

Looks good, especially the (partial) interior. Mind you, with these kind of vehicles a full, tricked out interior is in many ways a waste of time and effort, because the small hatches don't show any of the forward detail. I spend a lot of time on the Eduard Hetzer, and you can only just make out the shape of the ammo rounds, and the radio's...

Great looking kit! I will buy this kit about one year from now. Why ??????? Because DML will bring out the zimmerit version of this Stug IV around that time probably.

I cant say how glad I am to have put off buying their old version of this kit a few months back. Now heres to hoping that they release a L/48 version of that new JagdpanzerIV eventually as well.

At last, a Sturmgeschutz IV with a firewall and some interior detail. This variant's machine gun shield was held upright by the loader's open hatch, so a rudimentary interior was vital if you wanted to show off this distinctive feature.
Looks like a very nice kit. definitely something for the collection. There were a lot of interesting camouflage schemes for these StuGs in the last year of the war. It will be interesting to see what marking options Dragon includes.
Thanks for the update, Jim

Henk, this early Stug IV definately needs Zim. Quite a few photos ive got of this type, some with Pz Div 116 in Italy and a couple with 5 th SS Wiking show them with Zim and plain Dunkelgleb. The later version with remote MG didnt always have Zim and seemed to be painted in lots of late war camo scheme's
Current projects Tam Stug IV cut and shunt Trump KV2 Dragon Panther D with zim BefehlsPanther and Tam Hetzer
