Hey guys,
I’m trying to track down some crew figures for an M10 I’m currently working on. I know that Hobby Fan markets a set for AFV Club’s M10 and M18 series but they are depicted loading ammo etc. I’m actually hoping to find figures representing more “in action” posses that can be placed in the fighting compartment. Does anyone have any idea if such a set exists or if there is a set of figures that could be easily modified to depict the sceane I’ve described?
Thanks,
Noah

I, too, have looked in vain for any dedicated crew figures for US tank destroyers. For his build in Military Modelling, Steve Zaloga had to saw apart stock figures, join the limbs and torsos with paper clip wire, and bend them to fit, before filling the gaps with epoxy putty.

Is there a reason why an M4 tank crew could not be used? couldn't the tanker helmet heads be replaced with aftermarket? What was special about TD crew battle dress?

Clothing isn't the problem--it is the hideously contorted positions the figures must be in to serve the gun inside a TD turret. All the sets intended for the available kits have figures lolling about outside the vehicle or reloading the vehicle with ammunition, rather than actually at their stations in the turret.

Hi Noah,
You're probably thinking of this Hobby Fan set - kit 522:
Hobby Fan also makes a set of an 'in action' M10 crew - kit 521.
