Ruffus,
May I put forward that instead of "ONU Campaign" we use as a title what Scott said earlier, allbe it in a different context,
White Warriors ?

I have been thinking about a more interesting or caching name for this campaign, besides White Warriors, here are some Ideas
1.- UN Peacekeepers.
2.- Peacekeepers.
3.- UN big stick; you know "Speak softly and carry a big stick".
Not much imagination, ha!; well if you are ok with any of this names, I am open to suggestions.

I agree with Anthony with No 3. It incompasses the 2 colours, white and light blue with the white laural, which actually makes up the beret badge.
If any one requires a photograph of the badge I have the one I was issued with and the light blue beret.

Great idea. Count me in. Do I need to sign up already or does this confirmation count as signing in, for the time being?

I don't know yet what I am going to do, but there are many possibilities out there. First I'm figuring out what to do for the What-If campaign, which will be my first Armorama campaign and my reentry into the hobby after moving to Italy.
Cheers,
Rob

Hi Rob, Me and you both, the 'What if' campaign is my first and I've been out of modelling for almost 16 years, So that and this campaign will be a 'thrown in the deep end' so to speak.
When I was in the corps we had a saying, ''when it got tough get your head down and crack on'''
Wish you the best of luck with your projects.
With regard the photographs of my UN beret and UN cap badge, you'll have to wait guys as I'm in the UK for the next 2 weeks. Respite for veterans with PTSD. My time will not be wasted though .....research for the campaigns. As soon as I get back to France I'll dig out the beret and badge and get them on to the campaign forum, but will require assistance as I'm a bit of a muppit when it comes to the computer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

You know, this campaign stuff has help me to "start" finishing a lot of kits that by one or any other reason has been left behind. I think that I was suffering from "AMS", not that I am an advance modeller , but the symptoms where there. So far I have finnish the following: Sd.Kfz 251, Gepard, LAV TOW; now for the Bundeswehr campaign I am finishing a Revell 1/35 Luchs, nice kit, SFOR version; and for this campaign I will do a Fuchs, from Revell also. I still need to work in the weathering of tracks. can't get the hang of it. but working on it.
Mike, good luck in UK.
Happy Modeling

Thanks, and good luck to you too. If you want to use a real UN cap badge as a ribbon, these can be found easily on the net. The UN itself has some good series of photos as i discovered last night when scouting for a vehicle to white-wash:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/un_photo/ is a good resource.
Good clear shot of the cap badge:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/un_photo/3332074988/sizes/o/in/set-72157614778816043/I'll be happy to make a ribbon out of that. Tell me what size etc., and I'll Photoshop it. But if Mike wants to do it - I certainly don't want to push him out!

Hi Rob,, No mate you crack on with the ribbon, when it come to doing things to high tech with the computer I'm a complete muppet, I think the cap badge idea is a good one, but try and incorparate the 2 main UN colours, White and Light Blue.
I will put the photos of the badge and beret though, sadly the beret has suffered from a little moth damage.
Anyway guys happy researching, glad we now have the ''10'' required as I think it could turn out to be a very interesting campaign.
Regards Mike

Hi Rob: regarding the ribbon, by all means, please be my guest, the best I have come is this

. So any contribution is welcome. the final size is 50*20 pixels as far as I know; let me check with the campaign manager.

No problem with me, I like the first one, but maybe can we add something more, like an image in the background? make it more "flashy" . Or intensify the colors, I know that white and blue aren't the stronger colors in the palette but something can be done.

I'm thinking of a start date of March 2010 which puts the end date at Sep. How does that sound?
