Beautiful dio, eric!
There is a great feel of the geography and place. I mean that I feel almost like seeing the whole scenery even though there are only a few elements in the dio.
The composition is very good. When you have the right tree in the right spot, you donīt need too much extra stuff to show your piece in a natural situation. I also like the diagonal pose of the tank, very dynamic!
The weathering and paintwork are excellent. Not overdone, very realistic.
Congratulations!
Toni

I can't see the pictures! Anyone else see a bunch of squares with red 'x's in them? I tried reloading the page...nope. I tried right-clicking on the box and selecting 'show picture'...nope. I wanna see the dio...

Very nice, is this the Tamiya Marder 1? I have the Tamiya Marder 1A2 and look forward to doing a NATO 3-color with it. Or is this the Revell of Germany Marder?

That looks awesome!
What did you use for the antenae wires? How did you tie them down? That made the model look very real.
The diorama looks very cool, and that tank CO really looks mean, the look of a man with a purpose!! Did those figures come with the kit?

Eric,
Another great job! Give me a few days and I should have your Ridin' High article online. Thanks for submitting that (and special thanks to David Miller (Bluefalcon47) for translating it).
Cheers,
Jim

Great Dio.... My only question...I thought barbed wire wasn't used in europe? (that's why we buy furniture leather from europe...)

Many farmers use lightly electrified vire to keep cattle or horses on their ground. But some still use barbed wire. And such fences are often in ditches ( 1m depth ? ) where of course your feet will be in water...
Believe me, this is very unpleasant when traveling crossland by foot or skis...

Bombshell,
The antennna wires are made from stripped electra wire. The antennas self are made from thin copper rod. a special scratch build clip is attached at the end of the elctra wire and fold around the antenna.
That the way i did it

It is like what PenPen says.
Sometimes you come across some farm lands that are still using barbwire.
But in this dio the Marder Tank is rinding on the what we called , de heide , ( don't know the English phfrase ) There is barb wire still in use to prevent that the deer and other wild is travelling over the highways.
And this dio represents a scene in Germany so.......

Cool dio. What stands out for me as being first class is the camo netting. I would love to hear how you made it in a little more detail. The tarp roll under it is a bit 2-D though. Its totally cut-off flat at the bottom. Otherwise Im well impressed. /Frank
