hey guys, what would be a good base to paint deep water before i add a water product?

It depends on what water you want to show. Sea? River?
Basicly for sea you can go from blues to greens (the deeper the darker), for river stick to greens and browns.

i would go on the really dark blue spectrum, but it does depend on what location you go with. Mediteranian, Harbour, Pacific....

thanks guys, tis a french riverside shallower closer to the wall running progressively deeper, im not sure if i should just put some ballast or underwater stones down, and just have it as a optical illusion,

I think you can go to whichever colour you want. i live in Lyon and the Saône is definitely as murky as Thames -only a few hundred meters away and you have the Rhône and it's of a very beautiful green-blue shade.
And then it depends of the light. Is it for a diorama "an afternoon with a Krupp truck"? then go maybe for lighter tints as final coats.

hey Jba ! i would like a nice couour to contrast with the grubby wall, what do you mean by lighter tints, shal i just paint the colour on the base, and then add the EZ water?

Well seeing the other colours -beige and brown apparently, I would go for a green-brown, but not very dark. You paint a dark sort of colour on the base, then one coat with a mix like I said, and then you have a look, if it's okay you add another lightly tinted coat of the same colour mix, if it's either too dark or too light, you correct the colours at this stage. it works for me at least
