Hi all

I managed to finally get this project finished after shelving it for a few weeks. I placed the model on a simple base. Here are the pics of the finished model.

Now that this project is done I can now concentrate on the T55's, after that it will be the new trump T62.

Rob, that is some good work, I like the burnt out effect as well as the ashes around the road wheels.

Your work is really great!!!

I think you are the great master of a field of wrecked models.
I am extremely impressed by your works.

And I hope you could permit to use this wrecked M1 in my blog and cafe as same as before.
Please!

Thank you for your sharing!

Kim.

Thanks Mike, glad you like it. It's hard to see in the pics but there is molten aluminum depicted at the base of the wheels.
Kim thank you very much and you certainly may post it on your cafe as before.

Awesome job Rob. Can't wait to see this one in person. I hope you bring it to AMPS East along with your SturmTiger, that is if your coming.

I love your work! I like the ash of brunt rubber and metal and the collapsed suspension.

Great!

Thanks for the kind words guys I'm glad to hear it.
James..sorry but the Sturmie is gone as will this one soon. I build for fun and never keep anything I build. I started doing comm work about 7 years ago and when I moved back to the US I sold off my collection and since then have never kept a model.. If I go to the AMPS show in Conn I will have a T55 or the new Trump T62 with me, as a wreck of course.

Thanks again guys

Great work on the weathering. The look is as close to the real thing as possible. As a former M1 tanker it is a look that I prefer not to see represented but it is a reality. Again, very nice work.

Tim thank you and I feel the same. It wasn't easy doing this project and I will most likely never do an Abrams wreck again.
Bill, your way too kind my friend, thank you.

Hi Rob,

Great wreckage of M1...

I have tried many times to do a burnt out tank, never really got anywhere near.

Can you pls share how do you do it?

Cheers

Thank you all for looking and for the kind words.
Kiong.. here is a link to this M1 build showing how I did most of the painting. This is only one of the ways I paint wrecks, it all depends on what you are trying to simulate. Hope this helps you.

thanks again guys
