Hi mate
Try this its from The Way by Verlinden.
US GREEN:
Base:US Marine Corps Green 161
Drybrush:Base+White 34+French Artillery Green 179
Dark shadow/washBase+Black 33+(or)Raw Umber Oils
Final Highlight:French Artillery Green +Touch of Grass Green 80
US Light Khaki
Base:Khaki Drill 72 +Black 33
Drybrush:Base+White+Fench Art Green
Dark Shadow/wash:Base + Black and or raw umber
Final highlight:Khaki Drill 72 +White
Be aware humbrol no longer make Fench art Green.
I substitue different greens as required.
The final highlights are a subtle dry brush.
Hope this useful.
I have other mixes if required from the same book.
Cheers
Chris
PS:I've assumed WW2.Cansupply modern olive green if required.

thnx for your help chris/
unfortunatly i will have to scratch my painted figs, the acrylics that i used with some oils, didnt go so well, and frankly would be too much of an effort to fix, so i have ordered a new kit (thankfully its pretty cheap) and hopefully get the results that i want on my 2nd us army airborne kit.
cheers
