After some troubles with getting right pictures from the real stuff, especially the engine compartment (your forum helped a lot to get onward), my Mercedes l3000 truck is finished finally:

Great job. I really liked the details. I thought the wheels looked great. The lug nuts and rims were really impressive.

thanks for all your kind replies!
@ micheli125: yes, itīs the Italerie kit. The drums come from different companies, like Tamiya, Italerie, Custom dioramics and some are self-made, especially the front one in the center with the rugged appearence.

Most excellent finish...... this has got to be near perfect. Love the dusty look, but still showing detail and tear and wear. Nice one to show all the tamiya purists .... Italeri kits like this ... with a bit of TLC can be beauties.
One thing .... the side door of the body would not sit out like that. The hinge system is the bolt and hole (not the technical term??) where all the bolts were faced the same way so the door could be slid off easily. So the only way the door would hang is if there were chains to hold it like that. It would be more common for it to hang down vertically. If you were to add it into a dio, you could have the door sitting like that on loading platform!

Really excellent work. This looks like something out of Raiders of the Lost Arc. I'm not a big fan of German stuff but this looks GREAT.
I heartly agree with the comment about even a lesser quality kit, like an Italeri, can be made to be first class.

You are absolutely right about the side platform border, which cannot "hang" like this without chains (that were not provided at this very truck). I intend to show this vehicle in a diorama, where the side board is rested on a loading ramp and soldiers have to roll fuel drums on board..
