Hi Guys!
Nothing to add to your review, this kit is something I believe a lot of people have been waiting for.
I was lucky to pick up one of the first kits produced since Gerald just lives about 20 min. from my apartment in Germany.
So when I was notified that the kit was finally available I rearranged my flight from Dubai for a short stay to pick it up directly.
I am halfway through mine right now, finished the interior and the outside in olive-drab since I will be doing a Belgian one.
There is one thing I would liked to add though, as we all know resin kit can be a pain , I am also building the AMX 30 ARV and with the BergePz. 3 Büffel from Elite Models I just gave up. This Kit is a joy to build !!!! Yes U need to some filling and sanding in the rear area but the layout of the kit relieves U from pointless work on details with tiny fragile modules or PE overkill which in my eyes don't justify the effort, since when finished U can't see any major improvements. I did swap some of the tools left over from older Leo kits and use PE clamps, but thats about all.
I would like to praise the common sense use to balance this kit in a "smart" manner so even junior modelers will be able to build it.
I know Gerald is working on a Leopard 1 power pack and since the Gauls love to carry these around on their ARV, I can't wait to get my hands on it.
Can any one help me out on these large "boxes" the Belgians supplemented the Leo ARV with (since 2000 I believe), I have all Leo literature there is, swept the inet for pictures, but nothing satisfactory yet.
Cheers
Guys
PS: I will post some pic of my progress in the next couple of days
