A very extensive and helpful review of a very cool item.
I too had got such a multi media kit by Perfect Scale (a Bundeswehr-Unimog).
Anything but a high rating would have surprised me.
Thanks for your review Jason.

Thanks very much guys for the positive comments of the review.
I am a very strong believer that reviewers that have knowledge of vehicles or at least adequate reference material should be doing reviews....I was very fortunate to have good knowledge and material on this vehicle.
Marcel....to answer your question.....Yes, Canada did use the Bergepanzer 2 (Standard) when the "rental" Leopard 1A2s were used.....I have 100% confirmed their use. They were used until the purchased Bergepanzer 2A2s came into service.
I will be doing a magazine build article of this kit and finishing it as one of those unique "rental" Canadian ARVs.

Hi Guys!
Nothing to add to your review, this kit is something I believe a lot of people have been waiting for.
I was lucky to pick up one of the first kits produced since Gerald just lives about 20 min. from my apartment in Germany.
So when I was notified that the kit was finally available I rearranged my flight from Dubai for a short stay to pick it up directly.
I am halfway through mine right now, finished the interior and the outside in olive-drab since I will be doing a Belgian one.
There is one thing I would liked to add though, as we all know resin kit can be a pain , I am also building the AMX 30 ARV and with the BergePz. 3 Büffel from Elite Models I just gave up. This Kit is a joy to build !!!! Yes U need to some filling and sanding in the rear area but the layout of the kit relieves U from pointless work on details with tiny fragile modules or PE overkill which in my eyes don't justify the effort, since when finished U can't see any major improvements. I did swap some of the tools left over from older Leo kits and use PE clamps, but thats about all.
I would like to praise the common sense use to balance this kit in a "smart" manner so even junior modelers will be able to build it.
I know Gerald is working on a Leopard 1 power pack and since the Gauls love to carry these around on their ARV, I can't wait to get my hands on it.
Can any one help me out on these large "boxes" the Belgians supplemented the Leo ARV with (since 2000 I believe), I have all Leo literature there is, swept the inet for pictures, but nothing satisfactory yet.
Cheers
Guys
PS: I will post some pic of my progress in the next couple of days

Heh Guys !
nice to be reminded of this kit, was fun to build .... made a Belgian one ... meaning you can avoid the "Anti-Skid" and use the 3-tone camo plus some of the Belgian extras they fit to their tracks.
Cheers
Christopher
PS: Rumours are that there is also something new in the making with the Bergepanzer 3 from PSM
