Hi Terry,

Some advice about AEF-designs !
Be careful about buying from them, i've bought some conversions set in the past from them and their quality is POOR, VERY POOR !!!
Bad casting, wrapped pieces and so on !!

This is one company, that I', NOT buying from anymore !!

Good luck,

Terry -
This is a popular subject. Check out some past threads. AEF Designs is hit or miss quality with even worse customer service.

Interesting topic! I was about to ask if anyone had any feedback on their SHOT Kal upgrades... Think I may give them a miss...

Cheers,
Ian

Totally agree, save a little more money and try Legend Productions or Cromwell Models. Some A.E.F. Designs are very unnacurate (like their T-90), and even their Merkava wheels set is more expensive than Legend Production's. Best regards.

José.

Land Rover? Maybe you're thinking about Accurate Armour, not AEF. I don't think AEF did/does Land Rover stuff, but I could be mistaken.

AEF is so hit or miss its just not worth the hassle. You may get a kit that is relatively usable ( with a fair bit of TLC mind) or you may get a kit that is total crap and no good for anything. They seem to have no quality control at all. I have a couple of things and it looks like its going to be such a headache to use the stuff, some of the smaller bits are usable. Really for a full kit though you're best going for another option, if you can find AEF stuff cheap, and I mean really cheap it may be possible to use some of the parts as a guide to scratchbuilding your own stuff..

I'm currently building a BMP-2 with AEF interior set and upper hull. I just sent a new review of the former set that you may find interesting to look at.

My feeling is that I'm not impressed at all. At first look, you can think it's quite a good set but when you compare with pictures of the real vehicle, AEF can't make illusion any longer.
Moreover their instructions are often a kind of guess game.

So it's up to you now
