Well not really, but I was able to get chalk (school stuff) and mix with, I forgot, to get a mixture that I would brush on my modlle it would dry to a white powder residue which brushed off easily. Well i tried it yesterday with humbrol thinner and tamiya it dried white but was almost like painting the model. What should I use to get it to be dusty again? I feel like a nob #:-)

I mix my pastels with plain water, it helps it to stick to the model but drys dusty.you may need to apply quite a bit to get the build up.hope this helps.

I had trouble getting the pastels to mix with the water, dont know if that is because I have hard water or not, but by adding a drop of liquid dish soap to the water the pastels mixed right in, and stayed a little better on the model, this mix i just use for washes, but it helped me.
