I'm working on the planning stages of a 1/72 scale dio of the 45th Surgical Hospital and I'm having one big problem - Figures. I need figures that have no gear.. Just the regular garrison olive drabs. A doctor in scrubs would be great but i think I'm pushing my luck as it is.
Any thoughts??

I had a simular problem, im doing a vietnam diorama aswell its a scene from the movie (operation dumbo drop) where these 2 soldiers are chasing after the truck because theyre getting chased by angry mob, i could NOT find any US soldiers (vietnam) figures of soldiers running so I decided to use my other kit (tamiya 1/35 afrika korps) set and used these 2 soldiers that are in a running position,
so you want a hospital scene? well maybe you could do what i did and find the positions you want, but transfer there uniforms into another uniform like different colours, get another kit and put some left overs (helmets) and use that.. good luck mate.. if i find what ur looking for ill send you a link

Figures are the hardest part to deal with in this scale. Look for poses first then reconcile the fact that you'll have to carve off the gear.

Try the German artillery set for Revell they are shirtless a new head from Pegasus Vietnam set and you are halfway there.
Or wait a couple months I planning on sculpting a few figures for a MASH unit in Korea that will take care of the doctors.

Thanks for all the responses. I found some RAFM and Platoon 20 figures that i'm going to look at.. I dont have a lot of faith.
Poky- Keep in touch.. I'm hoping to have this diorama done for an IPMS contest in November and would love to use your new figure if you got it going before then!
