Hello Staff Jim

Is it possible for the author to delete an entire topic if he/she realises there's a mistake -before anyone's replied of course. I accidently entered the same topic 3 times in the Tools section.

Great to see everything up and running again - wonderful job...

Yes moderators can delete topics. So just notify one of them when something like this occurs. I will take care of this instance.
