Thanks Herb, I had come to the same conclusion too.
One thing I consider adding are clamps for poison gas indicator cards. If the Panther G and F had them I presume other new vehicles would have them too. I just posted a question on these in the Axis section.
One thing I keep asking myself is how the h*** the crew got into the turret with virtually nothing to hold onto or climb on.
And no pilzen on the roof either? If there's one vehicle that could use a crane to good effect..
Just trying to get my head around a logical configuration for a vehicle in actual service...

Pfew, finally time for an update. Quite a bit of work has been done (at least to my standards )
I put together the whole undercarriage and cleaned up the whole thing, meaning filling, sanding, welds and the biggest task, incorporating the perforated plates at the front which required adding plastic card and mucho filling to recreate the armor thickness at the front. I also had to redo the weld lock thingy
Added scratchbuilt ventilator plates and filler caps, etc on the engine deck. I discovered that the rectagular grilles that came with the kit are correct in shape while the Voyager ones are not.
A weld line
I also gave the gun mantlet a Mr. Surfacer treatment (mix of 500 and 1000)
That's it for now.

Sorry for the long wait in updates. I was gradually getting near the finish for the build so I thought I'd simply get on with it and show the result. Below are pictures of the almost finished model. I'm gonna add the antenna afterwards, as with the IR and the AA armor over the grilles. I might also add support brackets for the poison gas ID cards, not sure yet. Oh yeah, and an MG for the coax. But other than that I'm done. Sorry for not having the wheels underneath it, but they were so loose on the axles they kept falling off.
Cheers,
John

You know, with all the schmall turm research they did, you'da thunk the front would have narrowed down.
