hey, i took some pics of my officer, and they turned out really bad, ( face is only thing thats finished, gaudy eyes, ( i have narrowed them ) bad shading , what do you think, in person, it looks like my best shaded figure,
under the lens, its balls
the pics ended up better after a different background, and less zoom
any hints and tips on improvements?
first off,
construction finished pic, clean no paint
then im ashamed to add these Bad pics, i think they ahve been bleached with light
and i HAVE closed they eyes up more since
and the better pictures

Hey James
These look to be nicely detailed for injection figures!
I'm not really one to comment on figure-painting having not finished one for aaaages, but I do know that the whites of the eyes are such a problem area for many. I'll say straight up that it would be best to err on the side of caution, namely not to have any whites at all... If it IS needed/wanted, then I suggest a lighter shade of the lightest skin tone maybe, and definitely not pure white. For example, look at the box art you have featured in the first photo and tell me how much white is viewable? That said, you could go over with a top eye lid in flesh tone to shape and shrink the size if wanted. The most simple thing is to do a Google image search on eyes, and note the shape and colour.
Good luck with the additional small intricate paint details!
