Hey, this is my first campaign. I was looking at some of the other campaigns and saw campaign ribbons. What are these and does everyone in the campaign get one or just the top models? Will there be one for this campaign?

It is my understanding that enlisting in the campain and completeing a project will get you a Campain Ribbon.. Each campain ribbon has a different design and is placed on your profile page under the awards section which is linked back to the specific campain page.
Since this is my first campain also I could be wrong.

Delbert is exactly right. That is how the ribbon deal works. There isn't a Barb. ribbon over in the campaign folder, yet. I am fairly certain that there will be one soon...

Yep - this is how it normall works. I wanted to wait for the Barbarossa Campaign Leader to respond to this inquiry. I too am sure a Ribbon design will be put forth and ready long before the Campaign ends.

Jumping the gun...
The left and right sides are self explanatory. The dashed middle represents both the fractured peace and the border between Germany and Russia.
We should probably transfer this thread over to the C3 forum.

I had thought of a campaign ribbon early on. Joe (Yoda) used to be the resident ribbon designer, but my idea was going to be simple and visual. I wanted a white ribbon with a red star in the center. Hadn't really given it a second thought since before the campaign started.

I like your ribbon proposal ModlrMike!
Made two proposals - one for the German side, the other for those building Soviet vehicles (Sabot and Staff_Jim, sent you guys email on this one) - GunTruck, can you perhaps post the images of these? I do not have access to my pic files on them as I'm on another PC. Thanks.

Yes, either late tonight or tomorrow morning. I download the e-mail to my home computer - and I'm at work right now...

As Barbarossa Campaign leader, I'll give my official opinion on what ribbon is used: "I really don't care." Not to say that I don't care, but that whatever is used doesn't matter to me since I have no preference.

I hope the "piggies" don't read that - imagine what they'd lobby for in a Ribbon design...

Now Gunnie us little piggies (++) wouldn't interfere with the design of such a ribbon. However, a distinguished service device for each campaign entered could be added to such a ribbon " (++) " - kinda like oak leave clusters or Iron cross with diamonds! :-) Anyway since it is my first campaign I am enthusiastic about it.

Guys - I've been working on an idea. Been busy today...
Here is the link to a Ribbon Bank that I came up with to store all the RIbbons submitted to me. I think it is a good way to keep them for all to see and select for future Campaigns.
Do you think the idea is useful and worth developing further?
Gunnie

I think it's a great idea. It will let people know what ribbon is associated with what campaign or medal.
