Hello Gents

does anyone have close-up pictures of the sprues of the old ESCI kit "German Paratroopers Green Devils"? Or does anybody have pictures of built figures of this set? Any reviews, dioramas, etc. ...???

Thanks in advance !

Greetz

I have 3 boxes of them, two unopened, the third is open but sprues still in bag. You want pictures, let me know for sure what you want.

Hi Joe

thanks for your fast reply (you luky one ;-) !).

Could you please send me some close-up pics of details such as the upper boddies, the webbings, etc.? I would like to compare their details with my Dragon Paratroopers as I am thinking about getting one box.

Greetz from Germany

All of Esci's 1970's figures were a bit on the chunky side, more like short men in 1/32nd scale rather than average men in 1/35th. They looked fairly okay with each other, but were hard to combine with other makers' figures, which were noticeably more slender. Italeri has reissued some of the other Esci sets (I think the British Rest Camp figures were out not too long ago), and if you've seen these, the German paratroops are similar in style.

Peter! I must have posted at the same time as yours. Please see my forum topic "Dumbasses". Some of your figures are in it as well as Italeri,DML, and CMK.
A couple may be altered. Poses are good as well as equipment. Figure detail is softer than DML or just about any resin offering. Can be made presentable. HTH
Cheers!

Hello Gerald,

thanks for your reply.

I myself still got the old set "Horse Drawn Convoy" from ESCI. Do you mean its figures can compare with the Paratroopers?

Anyway, I´ll try to get a box of them and do my best to combine them with Dragon parts !
