I have been working on the Chieftain for weeks now doing major surgery to hull and turret. It did not look much like a tank and while I was not losing interest I certainly did not have the enthusiasm with which I had commenced the project.

A couple of days ago I slipped the wheels and tracks on, fitted the turret and wedged the barrel in place and BINGO! - suddenly it looks like a tank.

Given me a real lift. Tried to explain it to the wife but although she nodded and smiled sweetly it seemed more in sympathy than empathy.

I'm a happy old man!

Regards Dave :-)

If you dont know where you are going you will probably end up somewhere else,

Hi, Hang in there fellow modeler. I get that same look from my wife as well. I think it goes with the territory.

I just tell her it's a old man's thing and she seems to accept that. It's better than running the bars. And a lot more productive way to spend your time and money too.

Take care, sgirty

I know the feeling Dave, I've had one that had just become tedious until I finally got the wheels on...it finally started to look like a real vehicle.
