hi there guys ive got two sets of dragons operation varsity set and there suitable for operation market garden the pockets are the right shape etc
but my question is really about the colour of the uniform ive recently completed brothers in arms hells highway which focuses on operation market garden absolute amazing game just going through it again on authentic =]]] so would you say the colour is olive drab with abit of white mixed in or is it darker i only use tamiya n vallejo paints

i dont remember where i found this combo, but i really like the first one with 873 and 914.

Vallejo US Field Drab (873) and Green Ocre (914)
or
Vallejo's Middlestone 882 + 20% US Dark Green 893

the color of the airborne uniform was like a light green to a medium green, either way you couldnt tell after the fading and the usage in combat.i would use vallejo colors (easier to use) ive seen this japanese modeler on you tube paint amazing award winning figures with tamiya paints but again, he is a proffessional.

The airborne units were re-fitted with the M1943 uni for operation market garden. Actually, all US soldiers were issued this uniform starting around that time. So the color is basically the same for both ops, some faded more than others. One interesting fact is since the trouser pockets were added later by the riggers, they weren't necessarily the same material and some would fade to a lighter shade much faster than the pant itself.

hey there guys

thanks for that im going to have to save up to get some vallejo paints bit skint atm only using tamiyas atm have used vallejo before and there great.
the colour of the pouches on the legs that the riggers put on were they a green colour or a light brown like the earlier colour of airborne jump uniforms in d-day??
