This seems like it's going to take forever but that IS what I wanted.
Doesn't look like much I know but the jeep is now built and the wheels drilled for the pins so I can do the pinning and then build the figure for the jeep ....

At last I can nearly see how it's going to look. I need to cut off the officer's head and repose to look at the chicken.
I will call the dio either " Why did the ..." or "what the cluck?"

Well now I had theme for my dio with the chicken but the aloof officer looking into space didn't work - I need a head swap ...
You will notice my chicken is ruined - my dog Muppet decided to get it off the table and 'modify' it - luckily he just had his dinner before I noticed but I have still sent him to his room

The second head is now fitted. We have an officer who is highly amused by the chicken and a driver who is shocked by the chicken.
I have some dead space at the front and now it's a bit too late to recut the base - I don't really want another figure ( but maybe ) so I think I might put a rusty manhole cover here ?

Hey mate! Looks pretty good to me! How about someone trying to chase the chicken? The shoe-boy would then probably look at the action too though. Or a woman walking by, that would get the attention of the two men but not the boy...
Just some off the head ideas I had...
Cheers!

Hey, another one got to me at midnight: Since your dog loves chickens: How about a representation of your dog chasing the chicken?
Cheers!

Gday Rob
I like what you have done here mate.
The final framing of the scene encapsulates some good elements, with height, angles, interaction and interest with the subject matter. I will say however that whilst most Hornet heads are brilliant, the officer is one of the duds in my opinion... Seems overly animated to the extent of being cartoonish. On the other hand, the other bloke's head is great.

Hi Brad
I think I have to agree with you. I am a bit stalled at the moment as I am not happy with that head right now.

I decided I did need another figure and really somewhere for the chicken to be going to.
I decided on a child holding a chick or chicks but can you believe that no one makes one in 35th scale
Oh well - I will just 'make' my own - poor Teddy has now gone to teddy heaven.
I 'removed' him and carved the scarf back in and some cuffs under the hands etc - just need to put some folds in the scarf add the chick(s) and remake the belt - easy

Here is where we are now. Not perfect but this is going to be close enough. Still needs some sculpting work once the glue has fully dried (should be fun as I'm useless at stuff like that and have never tried it properly) and I need to remake the coat belt.

Still loads to do but the composition is coming together. I will admit now that it was Zoe's idea to add the chick rather than the teddy - she will only boast and gloat about it so I might as well tell you all now

Apart from doing the manhole cover the last thing I needed to decide was what to do about the blank space behind the ruin ....
It will not be seen 99% percent of the time but if it ever goes on a show bench then it will be seen from all angles - I decided I would add another figure.
In his best Waynetta Slob voice ... " I'm having a fag ! "
He will be sitting on a pile of brick rubble when I make the bricks

Surround him with a few empty bottles of wine, and he will look like such a drunk!
Awesome work mate.

I actually like that idea Chas - I think I know what to do - put a crate of wine in the back of the jeep with one missing and stick it next to him hiding round the back
