Joe, there HAVE been Reviews on it - as its using around 75% of the Sd.Kfz 7 from DML, adding only a cargo body, that's effectively the ONLY change
Here are the two Site Reviews on the Sd.Kfz. 7

I hereby proclaim July "Sd.Kfz.7 Month!"
That's pronounced "Es Dee Kay Eff Zee Munth" in English and "Ess Day Kah Eff Zed Mow Gnat" in German, LOL!
It's a great day for Axis halftrack fans.
Does saying so make me a cheerleader for DML now?
Seriously, I only wish there were these kinds of choices for some of the other soft skins used in the war. There is no styrene kit of the Sd.Kfz.8, for example (only a very expensive resin one from DES). And the Tamiya Sd.Kfz.9 (mistakenly called the FAMO after its manufacturer) is only available in the tank recovery vehicle format. It was also used with a crane for changing engines and the like, and there is a variant from the early war when it was used to transport artillery and/or mechanized infantry.
And of course there are many Allied vehicles crying out for DML-quality kits in styrene.
But let's not bemoan what isn't and instead celebrate what is. This is good news.

The Chinese are goin to call this the year of the 7. I cant complain about these two companies goin at it like this..but I sure wish they would broaden the field a bit, either way..by the time Im too old to model, I'll be completely spoiled.

Yeah, saw this one a while back and it sure is another nice variant I may have to get. I have the 7/2 and still waiting for the Prime Mover but this one can be used, I think, to also tow some of the artillery pieces so it's indeed very tempting...

Oh well, at $41 plus shipping at Sprues I just ordered one. Don't really know why but of all of these Sdkf 7's (including the 'future' release of the Prime Mover), I am completely uninterested in the 7/1. I have the Prime Mover on pre-order and just jumped at the chance to get the 7/2 and this one but yet I haven't ordered the actual first release. Who knows, maybe it's the quad gun thing...

Just wonder how many more Sd.Kfz. 7 variants will be released within 2009? Will there be another one from Trumpeter to challenge Dragon?

Hi Bill
Checking on a local retailers web , by that I mean UK based online shop, I think you'll find the Flak 3.7 variants from Trumpeter are in stock, available not as you have "announced"

Thanks, Mate, it's hard to keep up with what's announced and what's actually out. Dragon USA has been taking orders for the Prime Mover, and it's likely coming soon. They list this variant as a "new arrival."
I guess the best advice is "check with your supplier," LOL!

Those are the realesed ones, the "announced ones" in more lay terms are the Flakvierling version with armoured cab and the two 3.7cm versions with unarmoured cabs. I think release date was something like August/September. I think I saw them on PMMS on the Trumpeter news page.
Now if they would just get all the 7s out of the way and move on to doing a few 8s and 9s I'd be happy as a pig in mud.

It would be nice to have an 8. There is at least one 9 in styrene, but the only 8 is a DES resin kit for mucho $$$$$.
There are conversion kits, too, for the other 9s like the crane one, and you can get an ABER set for making the Tamiya kit into the artillery-towing version.
