Try a tamiya 222/223 Armored car. It's about shake and bake, not too big, and has lots of dio potential.

I would suggest something that looks great out of the box. Like say one of DML's new Panthers they can be awesome OOB. Why don't you give one of those a shot! STUG

I would say go for the DML 250 neu series they are really amazing. The fit is good they look outstanding OOTB and it`s a real fun to built. I have finished the SdKfz 250/10 lately and it is realy a crisp looking vehicle.

Faust,
would be very interested in seeing your sdkfz. Just started a sdkfz 251/10 for the campaign.

Here is the link to my SdKfz 250/10 in polish use (germany 1945) She is built fully out of the box and I tried to let the paint and weathering speak

Really a nice kit to built

If you want to venture out of the German realm try the Tamiya T-55, great detail and fit OOTB.

I will recommend DML Hornisse, or DML Pz III series, it comes with indi links, and screens for filters. good value.

Dave's choices are good. The problem with the newer DML releases like their Panthers is that they don't come with PE grilles. Tamiya's new Marder III M might be another option. Their Cromwell is also very good OOTB, but it's not German.

Any of the recent Tamiya releases are excellent OOB. In particular I built their Marder, Wespe, and Tiger I initial production recently and all were top notch builds. Academy's Stuart/Honey is a very nice kit at a great value.

I think one of the most eye-catching models OOTB is Tamiya's Jeep. Prop the hood open and you have a real nice model.

Just off the top of my head the Tamiya 222 armored car or the 251 halftrack series. They are old kits but when built they look like armored vehicles. Not to expensive either.
