A little related update info...

Seems Azimut has released a corrected lower hull and interior for the Hobby Boss V-100, featuring the squard-off inner fenders, radio set, corrected jump seats, etc (kit # 35111). Note that there is still no turret basket, etc with this update.

A new company, Best Value models has released a conversion for the HB V-100, making the V-100 into the USAF turret-less verion XM 706E2, kit # 35066. This also has additional interior pieces, as well as the folding-door hull top with two .cal 50 MGs.

I'm still expecting Eduard or Aber to release a PE update set as well. Stay tuned.

Just to clarify: Best Value Models have been around for some time and are closely associated with/part of Azimuth. BVMs concept is to release kits which includes resin/PE conversion parts ASWELL as the needed sprues from the base kit. So if one buys the BVM XM706 E2 kit you don't need to buy a separate Hobby Boss V-100.

Even better then!

Now, how about someone tackling a master for the MG turret interior, basket, ammo boxes, ammo chutes, gun receivers, traverse handle and gear, etc etc?

If I can handle the techincal aspects of it, I'll try to take some images of my scratchbuilt Commando turret w/interior and post them, plus the interior as I've prepared it. I didn't have it in me to tackle changing the curved wheel wells into the proper angular wells. Now that I se the Azimut one, I'll have to seriously consider another build. Damn!

Mouse House, which is an Australian distributor already does a T50 turret with cage, the only thing is, it comes with a .50 and.30 cal combination and a internal fire wall for the M113. It is an Australian M113 converstion set...and the turret is fully detailed in side.

Hi guys,

I've recently sent Jim Rae some updates on new releases but I'd assume he must be busy and I don't want to disturb him. :-)

In any case, just thought you might want to know I have just increased the amount of V100 decals in my range, more to come and more in the works. If you're interested, please drop by my link below. Just a heads-up, that's all folks!

Best regards,

Lawrence

Very nice!

Now, something must be done about that sub-scale steering wheel and the missing second foot pedal-- only one is provided, and two were used, clutch and foot brake. They both had master cylinders. Speaking of brakes, the hand brake would be nice.

You know, there are enough small items in the driver's compartment alone to merit a resin AM company to crank out a support kit, in addition to the turret basket with interior. I know Azimuth has a corrected interior floor, and that's going to be a great start for my next Commando.
