Thanks for this one Matt, seeing how it built up and took paint is very helpful in terms of evaluating it as an option vs. the other AM zim products out there.

Thank you for the review Matthew. It has shown me that this paper zimm can be used for flat surfaces, but looks awful on any curved areas due to the limitations of using paper. I have to say the product performed better than I expected.

I think Monroe Perdu has just took the defenition of paper panzers to a new level .

This is where Armorama shines: bringing to modelers a new product that significantly alters how things are done, then evaluates it with a well-executed review process and review to explain its advantages and disadvantages. Nice work, Matt, and kudos to the site, Kit reviews are our bread-and-butter, but these innovative products are where the Internet outpaces other sources of information IMO.

Great review of a new and interesting product that I had heard about and wondered what it would be like. Now I know.

I say, No thanks to paper. For $22.00 USD I rather stick to the resin zimmeritt offerings from the Eastern European manufacturers.

They are easier to work with, you do not have to fill as much, and do not have to worry about any gaps to fill on the paper. Their gun mantlets are a single resin piece, as are their rear tool bins, rear hatches, hull MG bulge, etc.

Thanks for the kudos guys, much appreciated. I decided to have a little fun with the build portion of this kit hence the primer red barrel and no sponson boxes on the rear. I was curious how the paper would react when I applied the hard edge camo using silly putty, but everything stayed in place when I removed the putty which was a bonus. The kit supplied decals went down well over the paper too. There is not a single place where it silvered or failed to adhere. Glad you guys liked the review.

Maybe, would it work if you put some Future on the paper to prevent/reduce the paint absorption?
