I heard a rumor that a major plastic manufacturer is going to do an updated, accurate Ontos. This thought makes me very happy. Can anyone enlighten me as to whom is planning this kit, and when in this lifetime I might plan on seeing it? Thank you.

Academy announced it along with the CV90 which would be way cool. However im sure I read somewhere that we shoudnt expect these till 2010....

The last E-mail that I received from Ed at Academy was that the M50A1 Ontos Was going to be released In November this year (2009)

I've held off the rebuilding project of my old 1982 reissue Ontos because of the new kit news. I know as soon as I get motivated to rebuild the old Renwal kit, a new one will be on the shelf.

Maybe there should be an Ontos campaign where everyone does their Renwal/Revell and Hobby Fan kits. The campaign would end when the Academy kit comes out.
