I wish to build two of a set of figures of 101st Airborne Division soldiers (Bastogne 1944) as military policemen at a checkpoint. I wish to know how they would be decorated, and what equipment they would carry. Thanks.

I would probably use an existing set, but leave some or most of the kit off, as the 101st were short of kit in Bastogne. DML do a set of 101st in winter gear with practically no kit, they may be suitable.
Just a thought

Thanks!
BTW I'm using Dragon's 6163 kit, the reason being I wanted to depict the infiltrator panic caused by Operation Greif. MP's would be stopping high-ranking NCO's, making sure they were really Americans, and they'd be in the rear areas so the soldiers would have stripes and insignia. Would MP's have the white MP band as well, and if so which arm? (I have been unable to find an illustration.)

Not 100% sure the Skorzeny command dressed as military police, (a film fiction)....they wore US army unifroms with a blue neck scarf.......
So probably no MP's.....brassard at all.....

No, the idea is that I'm depicting all genuine US soliders who are unsure who might really be Germans in disguise. That panic did slow things on the Western front.
That said, would a simple "MP" helmet marking be enough?
