Interesting vehicle.
As I know, the chinese army has tracked-self-propelled SA-2 in use... HQ-2 or so, is it called.
greetings...

in this moment, one of the problems, is that the T-55 have 2 hatchs, one for the driver and commander on the right, since there is no pictures, i dont know what is the type and for what side will open.

Marcel and Daniel,
I don't know if the pics I have of this beast are new or old, but drop me a line and I'll send them to you. I have about 8 pictures. You may have some of them already.

Yeah, this is a cool idea. I had thought to do one a few years ago when I saw this setup in photo's from Cuba. I like the Chinese version...maybe I should do a "what-if" on a 2S1 hull, or MT-LB hull..?

Interesting combination with the tank as a base!
I didn´t found any photos of this vehicle; only some of the real HQ-2.
Looks interesting to see, how both systems are mated together.
Which camo did you planned for the whole vehicle? The same, as pictured in the first photo?

That looks very interesting with all the scratchbuilt parts!
If you did not decided, which camo you could take, I would prefer the colorful one on the lower picture. (dark-yellow, red-brown, dark-green) ;-)

What's the second vehicle in this pic? It kinda looks like a sa-6 gainful, but the base is different (and not rails on the launcher, but I guess those are easily removed). Is this another "homemade" unit?

The picture of this boxart was from:
http://www.jadarhobby.plPerhaps one hobbyshop or online-saler has it.
Some modelkits are very limited also!
Hope this helps.

Looking great. I've got this on the build list.
You're finding the Tamiya kit a better suit for this build even though you have all of the changes right?

Hallo from greece
if you google cuban army weapons youll find many photos of t 55 tel.
im building the same kit! your kit looks great except some minor details.
co-cupola is exact opposite of the left one.
front and rear fenders have no side covering, they just plain straight.
platform for the sam is a different type.
and last but not least i strongly believe the chassis is t 54.
the system was first introduced 1961.
i learnt a lot of things from your photos, millions of thanks.
billy.
