Hi all,
here are a few pictures of my latest diorama (in progress). an urban scene in a vietnames city. I was thinking of putting a m109 in front of the house, with some gi's riding on top (but the m109 might also change in a m113 or even a lvtp5).
any suggestions or tips and what do you think of it so far?
Unfortunatelly we can't seem to get the pictures working in this forum so we would like to suggest that you copy the url into your address and go to where the pics are hosted.
The address is as written below :

Sorry for the trouble.
Thanks
Mark

Looks really good so far. Is this a kit or are you scratch-building it?

I have to admit, that diorama looks very good and I know it's made with lots of passion. I'm proud of you and your own design of that beautiful house. I think it is done very well, just like your parents did a very good job on you. Now finish this, our La Vita e Bella and Veghel fire-base diorama's and then........we have grown old. Love you. Your woman ;-)

Thanks for your kind replies all !!
The building was made from foam carton, I added plastic and photo-etched detail and 'covered' the whole with modeling paste. It will be painted next and then doors and windows will be added (as well as some interior).
The diorama will eventually have lots of figures (military and civilian, maybe in some sort of market-scene) and some vehicles (one military and some civilian). There'll be a little corner of water with a small smapan.
I know; lots of work! and it will take some time before it's finished but I'll keep you informed.
and: Donja, growing old is exactly what I want with you

First class building. Love all the balconies and railings at the front. And it all looks so neatly built as well! Looking forward to seeing this finished, best of luck!

I smell Tet Offensive #:-) Great work there Mark. As for the vehicle... How about an Ontos? I know Hobby Fan makes one, but it's pretty expensive. Still it really would set a dio off I think. There's tons of Tet Offensive dios with Pattons, or M113's in front, but I don't think I've ever seen one with an Ontos. Of course no TO dio would be complete without a burnt out car sitting off on the side.
As good as that building is, you could put whatever you wanted there and it'd look hoss
