I know of the Mirage Models crew sets but their hard to find for US shipping. Also, while the figure may go for $15.00, shipping is $35.00!! (my last online find).

Are there any other manufacturers for Polish tanks crew (1939)? Even just for just a tank commander?

Found something!

I thought I give Hobby Link Japan a try (www.hlj.com) and typed 'Polish' for a general product search. Under 'military figure kits' was a listing for a small company called Kami de Koro Koro, a company that reportedly only used to sell product at large event shows in japan. Here's a link to the product page at HLJ:

http://www.hlj.com/product/KAD35-016

A nice looking figure (love the Polish tanker's helmet) for about 12 US dollars
and reasonable shipping.

I hope that 'back ordered' status is because I got the last one in stock.

Hi,
have you tried Hornet ? http://www.greenwichgateway.com/hornetandwolf/Hornet/figurines/pages/WH04.htm

I bought this figure a few years ago and it's (as usual with Hornet) excellent.
Hope this helps
Cheers

I did see this before, JD and was about 'this' close to getting it. When I saw the figure with 'tanker' helmet over at HLJ, I jumped on that. Plus I wanted a figure I could put in an open hatch on the turret and I felt a bit reluctant to cut up the Hornet figure. But the Hornet figure is really nice looking and I figure I could get him for another build.

Is his uniform style particular to a certain time frame of the war?

this is the '39 uniform, pretty close to the French one from the same era, later on both countries would fight with err.... foreign inspired uniforms...battledress, US,soviet...

Hi

For information, if the Polish conflict is a subject of interest there are some figures available from Adabertus, but it looks like you may be sorted out. Tanker looks good from what I can make out. Post some images when you get it so we can see quality etc.

Cheers

Alan

Thanks, JD.

Alan,

The Polish campaign is a rather recent interest that's been developing with me since the purchase of a 7 TP tank I'm working on for an upcomming AMPS East show near where I live. As soon as I get the figure in, I'll post images of it here.

Thanks for the link.
