I have had a similar problem; message to Jaguar; supply rubber tracks for your M551 Sheridan or feel my wrath the next time i build one of those damn resin kits !
Heh heh - absolutely the worst set of tracks known to modern modelers! Bloody awful those little links are!!!

rid your body of those negitive vibes man it's doing your karma no good just think the longer you spend on a kit the more money to time ratio you get out of the kit so tell that to the wife next time you buy another kit!

OH YEAH??? Try a Eagles Talon BMD-1 kit with those tiny, delicate, fragile, BREAKABLE individual track links. Nothing like individual RESIN track links that are super tiny...yeesh. Maybe I should dig that old kit out and give it another go...or just mess with the SKIF kit.
And I am a HUGE fan of plastic individual links...after messing with all this Italeri rubber band crap on the M110A2 and M109A6, I really HATE that damned rubber/vinyl crap they use...plastic individual tracks any day. Easier to assemble, easier to paint, easier to weather.

I just did two sets of AFV's M48/60/88 style "workable" tracks. These are the best indi tracks I've ever used. Yes, there was clean up of injector pin marks, but that was done with my Dremmel. Each track is connected to the next by two end connectors. Following directions and NOT cutting the connectors off the sprue is the way to go here. They lined up absolutely straight and look way cool. The center guides and connectors are where they are supposed to be as opposed to Tamia's mispositioned ones. There was not a single pin that broke in assembly and in handling them while painting, only one or two connectors became dislodged. There are plenty of extras, so even loosing a few would not be a big problem. :-)

I've got a couple of sets waiting for a M-4; now I'm REALLY looking forward to doing it. The worst individual plastic links I've had to deal with came with the T-38 amphious tank... tiny, tons of flash, fragile, etc. The only saving grace was that the tank is real small, so there aren't that many links, compared to a T-28 or T-35....

i got a set of AFVClub's M48 (early) links, and tho i am overawed at the prospect of filling in all those injector pin marks,i am relieved that they go together easily!this will be the first time for 'proper' individual links (thankyou AA traxpax) and the sheer number was threatening to go out of control

Instead if filling, why not grind down the excess? This will also give you a slightly more worn look.

This is one reason I'd rather build softskins or play with a bee hive.
