Could i use the hull of the panther to make an M1IP and if so what would i need to do to back date or update it to a M1IP and what turret kit should i use that would not require many changes to it to make an accuret M1IP turret, and would the interior dragon kit work to make a good rep of the guts of this bad boy then thoughts or ideas would be great specail from all of the experts out here that we have in this subject of Armor.

Really stupid question, but there are M1 Panther II kits on the market. Not resin conversions either. In 1/35 you have Trumpeter or Dragon. In 1/72 you have Trumpeter as well, but its not out yet (I think).
Seems like alot of work for a kit that could be had for a reasonable price.
"Really stupid question" ? Did you read the thread post?

There is no easy way to make an IP M1 / M1IP turret. I used a trumpeter M1A1 turret with major modifacations. A modified Academy M1A1 turret would also work, and would be the less expensive way to go.(I have several Academy and Trumpeter kits in my parts box) The Academy kit comes with the early tracks, but they have the same problem as the early Tamiya tracks, the guide horns are in the wrong place. Some out of production AFV Club early tracks woud be the way to go, if you can find them. The M1's and IP M1's were used thru 1991 "Desert Shield" / "Desert Storm" and I've seen pictures of them with the later "Big Foot" tracks. Those are still in production by AFV Club.
