I'm working on a diorama for my new DML Pacific Sherman. I'd like to depict the Sherman loaded up with Marines.

So I'm looking for figures that might make a good set of tank riding pacific Marines, some sitting, maybe some standing atop the tank. Unfortunately, as has been well noted, there is a Marine figure shortage on the market and this shortage is decidedly more marked when looking for sitting or tank riding looking marines. I'm altering a few Verlinden Marines for standing on top of the tank but need some good sitting ones.

So if anyone can point the way to any good kits, I'd be appreciative. I can do a little altering and modifying so some flexibility is fine. And to further add to this scavenger hunt, if they pants are over the gaters it'd be bonus points.

Well, the only US tank riders I'm aware of would be the new set from Dragon, but these depict US Army troops in European Theater uniforms, so you'd need to significantly file down and resculpt the uniforms with epoxy putty to depict Marines in tropical utilities. They are, at least, designed to ride a Sherman, so the poses are probably useful.
