"Station de train"?
some of us need to travel more..
i believe its
"Gare"
as in
train station,
hah what translator,
park can be
parc,
or for a public park garden,
jardin public
i double checked these with google translator( i didnt take them directly, i do know basic french)
Randy, i know a lot of people appear to think that you are doing great stuff but well..
I think just TWO (2) minutes of *research* on your products would NOT be time spent in vain.
Be it your sort of building of a few weeks back, your recent bizarre French bakery, everything you sort of dump lately appears to be not really thought of.
Where do you live Randy? Montana? Now I would give a few fingers to spend a few weeks in Montana. Well if I would happen to build a building located in Montana, believe me, the second thing (after checking on some sites) i would have done would be to check WHO on this site hails from Montana, and ask him first privately if the thing just suit.
That's not a translator you need Randy, Google is your friend, USE IT!
As for french railway stations, Alexandre is right, and then you have to know that the French spend a lot on those stations because be it the ones from the mid/late XIXth century or the ones who got rebuilt after WW1, they all were built at a time when France could afford it, and also they sort of respect the style of local housing.
Actually I have yet to see a railway station that looks like yours
cheers
JB
[edit]
here, because I care..
I swear I spent 20 secs on Google to find that one
i see Jba's vein, but also i see yours Randy,
Jba is always seems to be sceptical about diorama products, but thats probably due to the sucess he has had from scratchbuilding, and making use of non modelling items to make what he does,
in my honest opinion, the last few releases i ahve seen have been a little under par for you, i ahve noticed some real gems in your collection dont get me wrong,
items like, :
brick factory,
goverment ruins,
and the three story apartment ( that can be used anywhere)
are fantastic, brilliant detail, great masonry,
there are two products i would improve,
i feel the french bakery is a little cartoony, the tarp over the door i would say should be a little longer, and the spars should be located further down, maybe even underneath, all of my shops that i have locally, that have been in family buisnesses for 50-100 years have a cover supported from underneath the front doors also seem very small, and usually these buildingd would also have had a ?guilding? around windows and enterances,
plus the only thing i see that sets it aside as a bakery is the fact it has boulangerie stuck on it,
I would suggest marketing an all purpous building, with wich you can use your imagination or purchase some signs or something that would set it aside as a bakery, cakeshop, tailor, whatever, say as opposed to creating bakery, butcher, you could create " european 2 story shop" or "Small normandy botique" i may be being vague but im sure you get what i mean,
bear in mind this isnt meant to disrespect or rubbish anything, just a few ideas,
the idea of To Trains is a good one, but i would see more of a plaster facade the bricks on the enterance, or even an enterance to an enterance,
you say, take the sign off and do with it what you want, why dont you, as the manufacturer remove the label of train station , and to trains, again ahve a generic product, and maybe offer suggesions in your description, im just throwing out ideas, i hope somehting helps,
just my tuppence![]()
