Hi GAOYUE
You are always the lucky one. When will this new Challenger II Enhanced Armour version be released? I am holding back from the Sd.Kfz.7, Bergepanzer IV & Flakpanzer IV hoping that the T-62 and this Challenger II could come early.

PLASTIC SLAT ARMOR! Why can't they do that on the stryker models? I'm sure an extra $20 for the plastic slat in a stryker kit would shy knowone away.

In Challenger II We try to made slat armour in plastic, if it succeed, we will do that on the stryker and Leopard 2A6M

GAOYUE while not trying to high jack this thread, has any consideration been given to releasing Trumpeter's earlier challenger kits as an all in one box offer such as was done with the Abrams offerings?

If this to be true it will be hard to keep them on the shelves, with reasonable pricing of course

If you would do this, that would be great!!!
But two whishes: Reworked roaedwheels and reworked turret please. The roadwheels on the KFOR and Iraq Challenger II were still a little off and the turret had a bad fit.
But again: Yes do a Challenger II all in one box kit as you did with the Abrams!

Any reviews of this kit

Well, there have been two, and now apparently soon to be three, 1/35th scale Challenger 2 molds from Trumpeter. Most of the rather scathing online reviews are of the first release, which was, quite frankly, a mess. The tooling was not fully completed when they went into production, and there were swirl marks on the right turret side, the scalloped joint reinforcements were missing on the right turret front, the engine deck grills were misproportioned, the hubcap detail was off center, and the inner and outer road wheels were not even the same thickness.
To their credit, Trumpeter went back to the drawing board and drastically revised the kit, fixing the engine deck, turret, and wheels, and added a lot of small detail skipped on the first release. This version was the basis for the Airfix and Hobbycraft boxings, and featured the scalloped side skirts.
Trumpeter themselves added the ROMOR armor package for their "Operation Telic" version of the kit, and added a bulldozer kit for the Kosovo version (along with the side panels for the ROMOR array). When building, be especially careful when mounting the trunnions for the main gun, as they are not very positive in their location, so it's easy to end up with a gun in not quite the right place. These kits can also be built as a "vanilla" Chally with the scalloped side skirts, if you prefer. The kit is not quite as nice as the Tamiya version, but at half the price, it is a very good value for money.
The news here that Trumpeter is going back to redo the vehicle for a late Iraq War Challenger 2 is very welcome, indeed, as Trumpeter has been growing by leaps and bounds in the quality of their toolings, and plastic slat armor would be very impressive, indeed!

Looking forward to this one.
However, I have not seen any photos of a Challenger 2 with the Enhanced Protection Bar Armour and a dozer blade. Pehaps the the kit could include the ROMAR-A type front armour, and/or the later Chobham add-on armour to allow the latest versions to be modelled.

Interesting photograph Gaoyue. I suppose there were not too many of those in Iraq.
As others have said, perhaps the kit could include extra parts for the front armour.

Nice one Gaoyue
About the dozer blade i was lead to believe that one tank per squadron is fitted with a dozer blade but i could be wrong on that??
