Howzit Stefano,

Are you referring to "Easy Model - Waffen SS Normandy 1944 - Painted Scale: 1/35 #33600"?

If so, the picture is a bit poor in that I can't really see the details but I would guess that they are fine for a 1944 Normandy or similar late-war scene.

Are they fine to use in a diorama? Well to be honest I think you'll find very few diorama-ists using prebuilt, and especially prepainted, figures in their dioramas. But.... it's up to you if you want to use them - personally I wouldn't.

Hi Stefano,

I didn't find the Polish figures on the site I visited, so I can't comment on that yet - if you post a pic or a link I'll check it out.

I wouldn't use any prepainted model, regardless of figure or vehicle, in a diorama. I'm not a great modeller in particular genre, but I always take pride in seeing my own work presented. Putting a prepainted figure in a diorama is like putting someone else's work in my diorama. Also, these figure tend to be very rigid and static. With plastic and resin it's much easier to remodel the figure's posture correctly and make it lifelike. The painting tends to be one-dimensional, whereas if you're painting it yourself you can at least add highlights and shadows (sure you could do that to these) but you can also personalise them. To me adding these is a bit like adding those green plastic soldiers you can buy from Toys-R-Us, or Pick n Pay, to a diorama - it sort of just brings the whole thing down a notch.

This is just my personal opinion. Some may differ, and I'll gladly be proven wrong on my comments above.

The best way to get better at painting figures, is (like anything) to practice. The only people that don't get better with practice and more experience are the Stormers

You can see the mountain just before 5am? Cool! So they've got the lights on? I've always loved CPT early in the morning as the sun comes over the Hottentots-Holland mountains Miss the mountains and the sausages - die wors hier is kak.

Hello Stefano

I agree with Rudi on this one,if you are after accuracy and good detail it would be better to go with Resin or one of the many plastic figure manufactures out there.

I am not familiar with EASY MODELS pre built / painted figures.
You can try and ask some of the guys at our IPMS forum (the link below). There are quite a few Dio and figure builders in the club.
