Is anyone interested at all?
I'm more than willing to post pictures of what Marines are throwing on these days before they walk through the lovely deserts and villages of the Middle East.
If you could "raise your hand" so I can get a count of how many people are interested, and in what specifically, a Marine is bringing with him(gear wise) these days to combat, I'd love to pull all my gear out, put it together and post some pictures, overall shots and whatever detailed shots people request. Mind you I was in Iraq twice, haven't had the opportunity to go to Afghanistan (yet) so the gear I'll be posting pictures of is Iraq-theater oriented, although the only major change in gear would be the flacks.

Thanks for the offer, it could be interresting ,at least for me , to have good pics of flak jacket with and without ammo pouch, close up of new helmet, weapons ...
I'll certainly have to homemade some GI's and Marines to go in Humvee or MRAP models so the more photos we have the best it is.
Best regards

Yes, please! That would be great. All the new stuff is something that I haven't seen in great detail as of yet, just catch as catch can. So yeah, post away, and I'll open a new reference folder!

Good to see some enthusiasm, my "presentation" will focus, in detail, the Modular Tactical Vest, but will also have some shots of the Interceptor, its predecessor. Will be getting the final parts done this week and posted by Friday the 7th.

Shain,
Have you considered sending the photos to the HF editors for a kind of reference feature? I'm sure it would be useful and greatly appreciated. Also, featured tend to be easier to find that a forum post

Im in,Yes Please.most manufacturers give you "standard" uniforms but it`s interesting to see how the grunts (i hope no one is offended by me using that term) personalise their uniforms. One thing that springs to mind is, i was watching a programme on TV showing special forces in Afganistan.I noticed on the new BDU uniforms that blood group patches were worn on both sleeves,is this now a standard thing or just unique to them ?.

Add my vote to that i would like detail of forces battle gear over the past few years. I have bought some of the McFarlane's Military figures as collectors items, they are good to help with detail in 1/35 scale. I would also like to see a similar theme for our Royal Marines In Afghanistan.

Almost done with the presentation, decided to include clothing as well, not only the USMC cammies, but the FROG (fire resistant outer garmet) gear as well. Sorry if this is taking longer than I intended, work loads a bit on the heavy side the past week or so.....
